 Our District provides Emergency Medical Service (EMS) is  24 hours a day,  seven days a week. Atchison-Holt Ambulance District (AHAD) has five ALS equipped ambulances to respond for service as well a robust First Responder network.

We have two locations in which we staff ambulances within our District, one in Atchison and one in Holt County in Missouri. Each ambulance is typically comprised of an EMT and a Paramedic.

Our full- time staff is scheduled in 24 hour blocks, a minimum of 48 hours a week on a rotating schedule. You are paid for every hour you work and there is occasional oppurtunities for additional overtime.

 -High School Diploma or GED
-Able to obtain State of Missouri EMT or Paramedic Licensure

-Valid Drivers License
-Current CPR certification

-Paramedics must also have current ACLS certification 

-Must pass criminal background check.

-Emergency Vehicle Operations Certificate (may obtain after employment)
